Communities - together instead of all by themselves
The Lavanttal’s local communities discovered early that a united appearance leads to both an interior and exterior strengthening. That is why they established a regional tourism association more than 25 years ago. In the year 2001 this tourism association also took over the duties of the regional management.
After a long-lasting period of restructuring measurements the ‘Regional Management of the Lavanttal (RML) GmbH’ started its work. The purpose is to develop projects and services which single communities cannot put into action by themselves. Regional concerns can be represented to the provincial government, the federal state or the EU more credible and more clearly if they are presented by the communities together.
The intercommunal cooperation within the scope of the Regional Management (RML GmbH) ensures a shared platform on which projects are conducted and clearing functions are appreciated.
Throughout the past the region has demonstrated repeatedly that projects, which incorporate several local communities, lead to success, e.g. cycle and bridle paths, and trails as the ‘Koralm-Kristall-Trail’.
